Permaculture farming & growing, worked by semi autonomous robots
In 2050, there are around 10 billion people in the world. Global living standards and consumption have risen sharply, but reversing climate change – the consequences of which have become devastating – has become the main concern of the global community: The entire world is searching for solutions to satisfactorily meet the needs of all these people in a sustainable manner, and promising initiatives are already being implemented on a large scale.
One of these initiatives is called EDEN 6.0: Its goal is to combine natural cycles with Industry 6.0 principles to grow food and consumer goods in a resource-efficient way. The planners of EDEN 6.0 are turning huge monoculture fields, which were created for industrial harvesting with large machines, into mixed landscapes where regenerative cycles are created according to permaculture principles. As a result, crops grow with less fertilizer and water use, more yield per area, and deposit atmospheric CO2 into the soil. These "gardens" are cultivated by autonomous robots.
