The year 2050. In the last decade, there has been a population growth of 1.5 billion people. While the demand for food is increasing, global climate disasters are making supply chains crumble and cultivation more difficult. Conventional food production can no longer be sustained.
To ensure an adequate supply of essential nutrients, the way food is consumed has changed. Food including all relevant nutrients is produced and consumed in the form of concentrates as powders and gels.
The eating tools offered are seen as a remnant of the dining culture that once existed. The rituals and movements of communal dining are repeated in the handling of the tools.
The ceramic printing process allows for a local and time-efficient production of the eating utensils. They adapt flexibly to new demands and needs of the changing dining culture.
