The fashion industry is one of the highest producers of non-recyclable waste in the world. The way we deal with clothing cannot go on like this. But why people buy so much clothing in the first place? Fashion fosters diversity, helps defining ourselves and indicates belonging. This creates a diverse and self-determined society. And that's actually cool.
In order to continue to be able to dress quickly and flexibly, a new clothing culture has developed in 2090. Purchased decorative markers now indicate ownership of digital clothing and thus avoid a lot of clothing waste.A current vintage trend is that of the lorecore. If one likes a digital garment in the collection, they buy a marker from the designer and immediately they receive the virtual garment.
