Klik Klak - Janusz Elmi Sarabi, Matthias Franzen
Rechargeable bike lights are often difficult to repair, forcing consumers to buy complete new sets in the event of minor defects. Repairability and recyclability are usually not taken into account. The project aims to motivate and empower consumers to build and repair luminaires themselves. With open, simple designs that do not require soldering or gluing and use standardized components, production will be decentralized. A platform provides construction plans and promotes exchange. The aim is to motivate people to get to know their everyday objects and conserve resources.
Klik Klak enables you to design your own bike light - either by producing it yourself at home or in a makerspace. Instructions, files and a parts list are available to make the process as easy as possible. If you want less effort, we also offer Klik Klak as a kit. The project promotes self-empowerment, understanding of 3D printing and networking by relying on open systems and community exchange to create sustainable and accessible alternatives.
