culinary hacking/was is(s)t kultur?
Industrial DesignFermentation? How can you make beer, sauerkraut or tempeh with the aid of microorganisms by yourself? With convenience products immediately available, fermentation as a cultural technique is in danger of disappearing. The "culture case" made by bacterial cellulose of Kombucha-SCOBY is a starter kit for fermentation and can be seen as an antidote to culinary forgetting.

Temaki Sneaker
Industrial Design“Temaki Sneakers” are customised shoes that are tailored in a very short time to the foot of the customer. In a performative act of production, the shoe is adapted to the foot. Shoe design, place of manufacture, materials and tools determine the choreography of the shoemaking. The client is part of the performance and a witness to the path that the shoe takes before its first steps.

Pedal Bag
Industrial DesignThe Pedal Bag is an innovative development of the common pedal bin. It combines an elastic body with a simple pedal mechanism and opens or closes due to the elastic character of the material in use. That makes a lid for the Pedal Bag obsolete and helps to improve waste hygiene in the domestic area. The user will have a positive experience when using this trash can. The object consists of a base and a container which are combined through the pedal. The three parts can be assembled fast and easily.

Hallig
Interior ArchitectureA study of two traditional materials, solid wood and webbing. Working along these parameters, the idea was to create an object which is free of any form, colour and mode of expression.
The woven webbing is wedged in a slot of the round rod. Creating a flat surface with the thin webbing enables durability and comfort while seated. The wood construction consists of maple round rods which are dovetailed on each junction in a classic manner and screwed together single-sidedly and visibly.

Weather & Memory
Industrial DesignWhat do memories look like through the weather?
How can man transfer a moment from the weather into an object?
We want not only design a product, but also a personal moment with the weather. The product can be individually designed by the user through an interation between personal experience and product .At the first opening of the package, the image and color of the product will change spontaneously depending on the weather condition. In this way, the person can gain a uniquely designed product that can also function as a souvenir as well as a special reminder of that singular moment.

Bassino
Industrial Design»Bassino« is a newly defined wet zone that presents a contemporary approach to practical scenarios in the context of the modern kitchen. The main focus hinges on using a multifunctional working surface which increases the ease with which kitchen utensils can be stored and cleaned. It also allows for water to be involved in processing food. The use of mobile basins decentralizes water intensive activities and turns them into a system of modular elements. This enables the kitchen user to have more flexibility when shaping their use of space and processes in the kitchen. It also emphasizes the aestheticly pleasing element of cleaning with water.

Tordu
Furniture and Interior DesignThe traditional technique of steambending solid wood is reinterpreted with the trestle "Tordu". A flat wooden profile is not bended rather then twisted during the process. The resultant torsion is in the form of the frame, constructive and designing element.
