MAKE. invites artist Axel Anklam for a lecture concluding the Material of the Month: Latex.

MAKE. invites the artist Axel Anklam to lecture about his creative sculptures concluding the current edition of the Material of the Month: Latex.

Axel Anklam just returned from „La Biennale di Venezia“ to tell us all about the what, why and how of his mysterious sculptural works. His material combinations of stainless steel with fiberglass or latex seem to bring unity and contrast together within a single object. The design and proportions of his earlier works were driven by elements of musical harmony. His later works are more characterized by bold colors and a high level of abstraction that remind us of biomorphic structures or large mysterious cocoons.
