Rental and cleaning service for sustainable diapers
– Alice Haubold –

Depending on the subscription model, the diaper boxes are delivered to your home or to your collection point, such as a kindergarten. They contain washable LooLoop diapers made of wool-silk, hemp and bamboo fabrics, compostable inserts made of sphagnum moss and two smell-absorbing containers for separate storage after use. After collection, the LooLoops are cleaned residue-free in the rental and cleaning center. The inserts are prepared for composting.

LooLoops should ideally accompany the child through the entire nappy-changing period and ensure minimal waste. With the help of three different subscription models, the cloth diaper boxes can be delivered directly to your home or to suitable pick-up stations one to three times a week. Made from natural materials, hemp and bamboo fleece generate reliable moisture protection inside the diaper. The wool-silk blend on the outside is breathable and heat-regulating for the child's well-being. Thanks to the three different sizes, which can be easily identified by color and embroidery, the cloth diapers are easy to use in kindergarten or with daycare parents. Velcro fasteners and elastic straps ensure that they can be put on intuitively and quickly - they are similar to conventional disposable diapers in terms of handling. LooLoops are designed with tabs on the inside of the diaper. The compostable inserts can be inserted here for extra leakage protection. These consist of cellulose fibers and a filling of sphagnum moss. The moss has the capacity to absorb up to 20 times its weight in liquid while at the same time ensuring a good supply of air, which minimizes the growth of bacteria. A diaper box contains LooLoops in the right size with an adapted stock of inserts. It also contains two boxes for separate storage after use. The boxes are replaced with every delivery. Back at the distribution center, the diapers are cleaned residue-free and the inserts are prepared for composting. The concept is currently designed for children, but could also be adapted to other target groups and the product range expanded accordingly. Nursing homes or hospitals, for example, could benefit from the use of cloth diapers by taking advantage of existing internal cleaning systems and thus saving on transportation and disposal costs.
