In addition to the question of how we perceive the world through photographic images - how we read and interpret photographs - the course on the basics of photography is about finding out together how ideas become images.

In concrete terms, this means getting to know the diverse approaches, strategies and techniques that are available when dealing with the photographic image by looking at, comparing and discussing photographic examples. In addition, practical experiments and exercises open up a space in which technical basics are playfully tested and the development of independent ideas in dealing with the medium of photography is encouraged.
