Teaching at the BURG
- The winter semester 2022/23 will be largely conducted in attendance.
- The 3-rule is no longer applicable, you don't have to prove your status and you don't have to log in anymore.
- There is no longer a restriction on the number of people in rooms, and the cohort requirement has also been lifted.
Properties of the BURG
- The Mensa and Konsum can open without further restriction.
- The Burg Gallery is open to university internal and external visitors.
- The library has extended its opening hours and can be visited by university employees as well as external visitors with a library reading card from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- In order to improve the compatibility of family, studies and work, it is again permitted to bring children to campus. Further arrangements are to be made with the responsible lecturers.
Compulsory masks
- The obligation to wear a mouth-nose covering is generally waived. For the protection of vulnerable groups, however, the following applies: If someone from the circle of participants in the room wishes to wear a mouth-nose covering, please ensure that all participants wear a medical or FFP2 mask.
Ventilation/Home Office
- Rooms used by more than one person must be ventilated every 20 minutes for a period of five minutes over the entire window area at the beginning and end of use and during this time. Rooms used individually must be aired accordingly every hour.
- Home Office will continue to be allowed by arrangement with management.
Information on corona testing opportunities
- Self-testing is offered to all members of BURG. Sufficient testing is recommended that each*person test themselves twice a week.

Access to the properties is generally excluded if:
- You notice recognizable symptoms of COVID-19 disease or any respiratory or cold symptoms (regardless of severity) on you and these have not been medically clarified.
- You are quarantined or expect to be quarantined.
- You have contracted COVID-19.
- If you are a suspected case and the test result is not yet available
- You are living with a quarantined person and do not have a waiver to enter.

Psychological Counseling
Mr. John from the Studentenwerk Halle provides psychological counseling for BURG students with questions and problems and, of course, strictly confidential. Students can contact Mr. John via the e-mail address to make a personal counseling appointment at the Studentenwerk's offices near the Harz-Mensa.
BURG offers an independent and confidential counseling service through psychological counselor Ms. Bodenstein during the Corona Crisis.
