Rotational moulding with edible paper
– Moritz Schmid –

The project arose from the question of how to make the rotational mould itself edible. My solution: edible paper as a rotational mould. My aim was also to design a product that was as local as possible. Potatoes, beet sugar, buckwheat and salt can all be found on the German market. This promotes direct marketing, small businesses, short supply chains and makes waste-free production possible. The flower combines locality with flavour. It is intended for connoisseurs and chefs. The flower is made of edible paper and caramel in light cream and brown tones. The texture is crunchy (edible paper and puffed buckwheat) and creamy (cream caramel), sweet in flavour (caramel), salty (vacuum salt) and Christmassy (buckwheat).
